<<"Spartan Rocket", a mod for Cortex Command by Thomas Thorne aka Systmh>>
version: 1.0

i had a sprite of mine lying around unused, so i made it
into a quick rocket mod. i decided to go with a weapon
that activated with the opening of the egress hatch.

This .rte contains:
	--the Spartan MK2
	  an ACRocket class.
a large rocket with a fairly good lift capacity and
novel manuevering thrusters, this vehicle's main
attraction is the ability to quickly and thoroughly
sweep away enemy opposition near the landing site.
when the hatch is opened for troop deployment, the
spartan's main engine core vents excess fuel through
the afterburners and out special exaust ports along
the bottom of the fuselage, incinerating everything
in a fair radius. the afterburners carry enough fuel
surplus to do this three times in succession. use
caution: because of the archaic chemical-burning engine
this rocket uses, it is a highly volitile contraption.
improper handling may result in loss of units and a
rather unpleasant inferno. do not vent afterburners
		in confined spaces.

known bugs:
--the AI will deliver the cargo on auto, but there's this
curious delay. i've tried a multitude of variations, yet
	  this still vexes me.
--using the engine purge weapon while the rocket is toppled
on its side will not act as one might expect--the fire
instead emerges trapped beneath the body of the rocket.
to circumvent this, scuttle the craft instead.

credits:
	--Azukki for his awesome templates.
--engine blast sprites modified from metal slug (yet again..
	  i love those damn things.)
--sound effects twaddled together from metal slug (can you
tell what my favorite arcade is yet?)
--Thanatos requested the sprite, but it didn't suit his needs.
this serendipity resulted in my motivation to make this
	  little mod.
--Casey from the datarealms forums sparked the idea for
the napalm hatch weapon. thanks for the help, everyone!
